The Attack

Early morning of January 1, 2012

"It was New Years Eve 2011 at my grandmothers house in Puerto Rico. My husband and I had to take my drunken uncle and a family friend back to their homes. We're about to get into the car when the family friend jumps into the passenger seat, so I just get into the back seat with my uncle. The family friend is rambling on about God knows what and my husband looks at me in the rear view mirror and says to me in English, "I am going to kill him!" I laugh and tell him, "Would you like me to make him sit back here?" He tells me not to worry about it cause he just wants to get them out of the car and home as fast as he can. After dropping them off, we end up at another house party where most of my co-workers have met up. We enjoy the night and bring in the new year with drinks, food, and fun. On our way home my husband and I get into a huge fight and we both go to bed mad. The next morning I am still upset, I decide to take a stroll down to the beach. As I am walking, I can see the ocean in the distance and a crowd of people gathering in one area and looking up towards the sky. I look up to see that they are looking at a group of small black clouds spiraling together to make one big dark cloud. This made no sense...it was a beautiful day, the weather was supposed to be nice all day there wasn't any chance of rain. The cloud got bigger, darker and a lot closer to the water. Everyone moved closer to get a better look. I was too scared to take another step forward. Then large metal objects fell into the water...then made their way up to the beach and started to fire their weapons at everyone in sight. Everyone was screamed and scattered in all different directions. Luckily I was far enough to get a head start on the aliens so they didn't see me. I made my way up a hill only to run into a wall that had an electric fence. CRAP! What am I going to do!? Then I hear 3 guys calling to me from the other side of the fence, they tell me that the gate is unarmed and point me to a hole in the fence. I climb up the wall and I notice that I am in a police station. I tell them that the aliens are making their way to where we were. One of the men gets breaks into a police car, as we are doing this a police officer spots us. I explained the situation to him and he over looks the fact that the men broke into one of their vehicles. All 5 of us get into the car and make our way down the hill, and as usual anything and everyone gets in our way! An old man on his motorcycle isn't even paying attention to who is behind him so the cop lightly taps his back wheel so that he will move out of the way. As we are looking for a safe place to get to we hear over the radio that the aliens are attacking every part of the island, even the most secluded areas in the mountains! I call my husband to see if he is ok. No answer. We make it to the airport and everyone is in a frenzy trying to buy airplane tickets to get off the island, but it's no use. No sooner are the planes taking off that they get shot down. I ask one of the flight attendants if a decent sized motor boat would get us to Florida, and she tells me no, that I would need at least a 56' boat to make the trip safely. Then she gives me a smart ass remark, "Do the math!"...
